LINYANTI

Wilderness Safaris Savuti Camp

Savuti Camp is situated in the private Linyanti Concession along the Savute Channel.

The 125 000-hectare (308 000-acre) Linyanti Concession bordering Chobe National Park’s western boundary is an enormous wildlife-rich area with an unrivalled atmosphere of remoteness and space.

Listening to the hippos grunting at night and watching the elephant herds pass by during the day, this thatched lodge is the perfect place to admire the beauty of the surroundings. Meander through the wooden walkways and be close to nature.

7 canvas-and-thatch tents on raised wooden deck with a view over the Savute Channel and elevated wooden walkways (intermittent sections may be on the ground to allow for animal movement) connecting all tents to main areas.

Each tent comprises en-suite facilities with an indoor shower, double vanity basin and separate toilet.

Writing desk and chair, easy chairs, luggage rack, mosquito net, ceiling fan, electronic safe, Olympus equipment (includes a camera and a pair of
binoculars), indoor lounge area, tea and coffee making facilities), a yoga mat, weights (2 x 1 kg and 2 x 2 kg weights) and resistance bands, veranda with deck chairs, multi-plugs adaptor charging facilities for mobile devices.

No air-conditioning, however, a ceiling fan is provided in each tent.

Complimentary in-Tent Wi-Fi.

Seasonal bathrobes, slippers, liquid soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner, body lotion, room spray, insect repellent, mosquito coil, shower caps, vanity kit with cotton tip swabs and cotton wool pads, sewing kit, tissue dispenser, laundry bag and umbrella are supplied in each tent.
A log-pile hide and a sunken hide provide unique settings to watch wildlife at the water's edge. Two nearby Star Beds –
Southern Cross and Orion – offer the experience of an exciting sleep-out under the stars.

Children of 6 years and older are accommodated.

Savute either flow strongly – a magnet for thirsty wildlife – or recede to leave behind a rich grassland. Regardless, both plains game and predators thrive, and exploring the length of the Channel and its associated woodlands is thus a highlight here.
Day and night game drives

Water based activities in 01 x 6-seater boat (water levels permitting)

Birding

Fishing on a catch and release basis (fishing is prohibited in Botswana in January and February for fish breeding purposes)

Star Bed – Southern Cross and Orion – may be used for a Star-Bed experience. Raised about 2,5 metres above the ground, these platforms are in the Manchwe area, only 20 minutes away from camp and only a short distance apart from each other
