Khama Rhino Sanctuary, a community-run reserve located just north of Serowe. The sanctuary was set up to protect Botswana’s endangered black and white rhinos and has grown into a safe haven for a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, antelope, and many bird species. The reserve offers excellent opportunities to spot rhinos and other wildlife, either on self-drive game drives or guided walks. Accommodation here is simple and rustic, with spacious campsites that have shared ablution facilities. The sanctuary features a modest on-site restaurant where meals are served, accompanied by a bar for drinks. There’s also a nearby swimming pool, making it a relaxing spot to enjoy lunch or unwind before or after a game drive.
