Situated approximately 10 kilometres west of Pretoriuskop Rest Camp, the lodge is accessible via the Numbi Gate, making it a convenient base for exploring the park’s diverse wildlife and landscapes.
The lodge features 150 en-suite safari tents, each thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with an authentic bush ambiance. These tents are equipped with modern amenities, including air conditioning, mosquito nets, and private decks overlooking the African bush, ensuring a restful stay amidst nature.
For dining, Nkambeni Safari Lodge offers an on-site restaurant serving traditional African cuisine, allowing guests to savour local flavours in a scenic setting. Nkambeni Safari Lodge features a watering hole that attracts a variety of wildlife, enhancing the safari experience for guests. The lodge’s pool and bar areas overlook this waterhole, providing opportunities to observe animals such as hippos, elephants, zebras, and waterbuck as they come to drink. This setting allows guests to enjoy wildlife viewing while relaxing by the pool or sipping a cocktail at the bar.
It’s common to hear hyenas and lions calling at night. The lodge is located within a private concession in the bush, and the area is unfenced from wildlife, so nocturnal sounds carry clearly through the camp.
