South Gate Campsite is located just inside the southern Makwee Gate of Moremi Game Reserve, making it an ideal first stop as you enter this renowned wildlife area. The unfenced campsite offers an authentic bush experience, where animals may wander through the grounds. Each campsite pitch is shaded by trees and comes with a water tap, fire pit, and built-in braai area, while shared ablution blocks provide toilets and hot solar-heated showers. There is no electricity, so be sure to bring your own lighting and power supplies. Its location inside the reserve makes it perfect for exploring Moremi’s abundant wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and a wide variety of bird species.
