Kibale National Park is situated in the Western part of Uganda about 5 hour drive from Kampala.
There are 13 different species of primates that live in this forest, chimpanzee, red colobus monkeys, the black & white colobus, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons, grey cheeked mangabeys, to name a few.
This park is accessible throughout the year, but the dry season helps with the trails being accessible. The dry season is from December to March and again from June to September.
A night guided walk is a must, your guide will have a powerful torch in that you will witness the nightlife of the rainforest.
