Murchison Falls is 5 hours from Kampala by road and is the oldest National Park in Uganda. The falls are said to be one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world.
Here will you find the Big 5 as well as 451 species of birds.
The best time to see the falls in during the dry season from December to mid February and again June and July.
Birding is also great from December to February.
The butterflies here are in abudance with over 300 species.
Chimpanzee trekking is possible in this reserve.
There are many other primates to witness too, including black and white colobus monkeys, olive baboons, red tailed monkeys.
Although this park is great all year round, the rainy season can make some of the roads impassable.
