Savute lies in the remote wild part of the Chobe National Park stretching as far as the Linyanti River. The Savute channel has been dry and waterless for almost 3 decades, recently water has started flowing and has changed the area completely. One of the amazing things nature has to offer is the zebra migration during the months from November to April, but this all depends on the rains.
You will need a 4x4 to get to Savute, the roads during the rainy season from November to April become wet, slippery and muddy, almost making it impassable. During the dry season, the roads are sandy and thick with sand. You will need to carry extra fuel as there is no where to full up, you will use more fuel than expected due to the road conditions.
