This morning you will take a scenic flight from Entebbe to Kihihi Airstrip, enjoying breathtaking aerial views of Uganda’s rolling hills and lush landscapes below. The short flight allows you to reach the Bwindi region quickly and comfortably, avoiding long hours on the road.
Upon arrival at Kihihi Airstrip, your guide will be waiting to welcome you. You will then head to a local restaurant for lunch, giving you time to relax and enjoy your first taste of the region before continuing onward.
After lunch, you will be transferred to Ruzogo Lodge, beautifully set on the edge of the forest. Check in and settle into your room before gathering for dinner in the evening, where you can unwind and soak in the peaceful surroundings ahead of tomorrow’s adventure.
Rise and shine — today is the highlight of your journey. After an early breakfast at Ruzogo Lodge, you will transfer to the briefing point in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for your unforgettable gorilla trek.
Following a ranger briefing, you will head into the forest in search of your allocated gorilla family. Once located, you will spend one incredible hour in their presence — observing their interactions, watching the silverback oversee his group, and witnessing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. It is a truly humbling and emotional experience.
After your hour concludes, you will trek back to the starting point and then return to the lodge, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Take time to relax, reflect on this extraordinary encounter, and enjoy the peaceful forest surroundings.

After breakfast, enjoy a final moment taking in the forest views before checking out of Ruzogo Lodge.
