Planet Baobab is a fun and character-filled desert lodge set in the small village of Gweta, roughly between Maun and the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans. It is famous for its huge ancient baobab trees and its laid-back, colourful atmosphere that feels very different from a traditional safari lodge. Accommodation is made up of round, thatched huts designed in a traditional style, each with its own bathroom and simple, comfortable interiors. At the heart of the lodge is a lively central area with a swimming pool, bar, and restaurant, where guests gather to relax and share stories after a day of exploring.
